Ntfs4dos

Datapol's NTFS4DOS is a DOS program used to access NTFS volumes. Freeware for non-commercial use. The Windows installer makes a DOS floppy boot disk that you then use to boot up the problem PC in DOS. You use DOS commands to copy files from the NTFS drive to a FAT-formatted drive. The program recognizes USB-connected devices, so the target FAT drive can be an external or a flash drive. Copying files takes longer than under Windows, so be patient. This program and NTFS Reader (http://www.ntfs.com/products.htm)are the only programs that will access NTFS drives when your operating system no longer recognizes your hard drive. NTFS Reader has a DOS GUI and also reads long file names, but copying takes much longer.
