Several FreeDOS bootdisks are available each with a different specific task. ODIN is a floppy distribution designed to be a one disk complete FreeDOS distribution, also suitable for computers without a hard drive. A number of other boot disks for various tasks are availabe at http://fdos.org/bootdisks/.
ODIN is the "O"ne "D"isk INstallation distribution. It's available in different versions, which should enable FreeDOS to run on any computer, provided you have a floppy-drive. Owing to the capabilities of different processor generations, ODIN provides a menu in which you can select the optimal settings for your configuration. Settings include a driver for extended memory, a driver for expanded memory and upper memory, and also support for CD-ROM and localized settings (codepages and keyboard layouts). Last but not least, ODIN can store itself into the system RAM, which results in increased run speed and an available floppy-drive. Almost all the FreeDOS program files are available on the disk.
